The Whiteley
The Whiteley, a £1bn super-prime development in Bayswater, London, is home to a unique mix of residential and commercial spaces. The complex features 139 luxury apartments, the UK’s first Six Senses hotel and spa, and a variety of retail and dining options. Envo worked with architects Foster + Partners to deliver a sliding door and concealed door package for the apartments and hotel.
The Grade II-listed redevelopment by MARK has brought new life to what was once London’s first department store. At over 1 million sq. ft, The Whiteley is now one of London’s largest luxury developments.
Envo was specified to supply door packages throughout the fit-out stages. Envo Slide, our pocket door system, was used across the apartments and hotel, many with our soft-close and soft-open options. Our single, double, and telescopic kits were selected for their self-supporting structure (even with the required dimensions of 1630mm wide x 3066mm high), superior functionality, and ease of installation.
Envo Flush, our concealed door kit, was also specified. The project included a number of fire-rated and non-fire-rated flush kits, solid-core door leaves (the tallest of which was 3079mm), FD30 door leaves, and a 2930mm pivoting flush door with FritsJurgens pivot system.
