Barnsbury House of Light
Restricted by a long, narrow footprint Or Studio designed Barnsbury House of Light, an exceptional new-build home in North London. To aid the flow of light and create a sense of spaciousness, Envo’s fire-resistant sliding doors were specified for the ground floor. In addition, our concealed flush doors were used to ensure a seamless transition between rooms, maintaining the clean, modern aesthetic.
Or Studio was commissioned to create an impactful home on a modestly sized plot. Set between Grade II-listed villas, planning prohibited windows on one side of the new home while the owners requested ground level windows be avoided to maintain their own privacy. Despite this, and the narrow footprint, the house is flooded with natural light and a sense of spaciousness thanks to carefully considered roof lights and sliding doors.
Envo was specified to supply sliding doors for the ground floor that disappear into the walls to create the desired look.

Our fire-resistant sliding door kits were ordered with FD30 timber door leaves. The doors were specified ‘primed for painting’ to allow contractors to match the desired finish on site.
On the upper floor, our concealed door kits and timber door leaves were specified to continue the minimal design.
